A spherical alabaster shade is gracefully cradled by a curved brass clasp against a rectangular backplate of brushed brass. When lit, the globe casts a soft, diffused glow that draws out its natural, cloud-like veining, in geometric contrast with the sharp, angular metal frame.
The soft curve of the alabaster sphere meets the crisp, angular lines of its brass setting, like a pearl held in a jeweller's clasp. Mounted beside a bed or at intervals along a landing, it lends a calm, elegant warmth to the quiet hours of the evening. As natural stone, every globe carries its own drift of veining, revealed slowly as the light comes on.
As a guide, mount at around 1.5–1.7 m from the floor in hallways and living spaces, or slightly lower beside a bed so the light falls softly at reading height.
