A tall rectangular block of translucent alabaster is held by two asymmetrical brushed brass clasps that wrap around its edges. When lit, the solid stone gives a warm, diffused ambient glow that reveals its natural, cloud-like veining.
There is a pleasing weight to this design, the brass clasps gripping the stone as if holding something precious. Set a pair beside a fireplace or either side of a large mirror and the wall becomes a quiet focal point, glowing like a lantern in a country house. Since the block is genuine alabaster, its cloud-like pattern is yours alone, revealed a little differently every time the light comes on.
As a guide, mount at around 1.5–1.7 m from the floor in hallways and living spaces, or slightly lower beside a bed so the light falls softly at reading height.
